Founded by comedian, actress and entrepreneur, Cocoa Brown, Wigs of Love Lupus Foundation was borne out of two deeply personal relationships in her life. After standing in the storm with two friends during their respective battles against cancer, Brown noted that the loss of their hair took a devastating toll on both women. A woman of action, she immediately took stock of the situation and jumped in to help provide some relief by gifting high-quality, human hair wigs to the ladies. Seeing the positive impact of her generosity, Brown decided to expand her charitable outreach to women around the country suffering hair loss.

Soon her focus also began honing in on women with Lupus. Their fight hit home when her favorite aunt was diagnosed with the debilitating disease. Watching the diva of the family slowly turn into an unrecognizable version of herself, Brown heard the call to get involved even more loudly! She called upon her friends in the entertainment beauty business including iconic hair stylists Kim Kemble, Elgin Charles and Derek Jae who gladly joined forces with Brown to contribute to her mission to help women reclaim their confidence and to remind them that even in the midst of the storm, they are still beautiful. Since its inception, Wigs of Love has provided amazing Hollywood glam experiences to women from all walks of life complete with custom-made human hair wigs, professionally styled photo shoots and wall portraits to celebrate their strength and fortitude during some of the toughest times in their lives.

Through her foundation, Brown has restored the crown of gorgeous hair to hundreds of beautiful brave women around the country and is excited to ramp up her contributions in the fight against and research for a cure for Lupus.
